Look in Your Mailbox!
The 2010 Assessment invoices were mailed to Las Colinas property owners on May 13, 2010!
This once-a-year payment covers the calendar year for 2010 (January through December). The good news is that the assessment rate is unchanged at $0.14 per $100 of property value ($100,000 property is assessed $140 annually).
To pay your invoice, click here. If you have not received your invoice, please call us at 972-541-2345 to update your mailing address. The due date is July 1, 2010!

Office Closing
Our office will be closed on Monday, September 6th, to observe the Labor Day holiday. We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, September 7th. The security patrols and alarm monitoring will continue uninterrupted.

Thinking of changing your phone service?
Please remember that any change in your phone service provider can potentially disrupt your alarm systems' connection with your monitoring service!
Las Colinas Security wants to make sure that everyone knows that VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) is not a viable means in which to transmit alarm signals and that the Association does offer alternative methods of monitoring signal transmissions other than through a normal "land-line" telephone service.
You can read about these methods in our Technical Specifications on this website or call us with questions. If you have changed your phone service provider in the last several months, please test your alarm system. If you are planning to change, please inform your service provider to check our Technical Specifications on this website, or by calling Las Colinas Security at 972-541-2345. After-Hours Curfew for Minors
Within the City of Irving, there is a curfew ordinance that applies to minors out in public areas. The curfew times are: Monday through Friday 12:01 am until 6:00 am and Saturday or Sunday from 1:00 am until 6:00 am. There are obviously exceptions to this curfew, such as emergencies or authorized supervised activities.
Las Colinas Patrol will report any activity within the curfew times to the Police, who will determine if there is a curfew violation. We ask that you also call the Irving Police Department or Las Colinas Patrol should you see any after-hours activity.

Director and Officer Bios

Heinz K. Simon is vice chairman of the Las Colinas Association Board of Directors. In 2006, Mr. Simon served as chairman of the board after volunteering as its president and CEO since 1997.

He is the former chairman and CEO of Industrial Properties Corporation, a developer of industrial buildings for several Texas markets. Mr. Simon has been active in Irving's civic affairs, which includes his role as chairman for the City of Irving's Tax Increment Finance District in 1999. His efforts led to the adoption of a project plan in the TIF zone to further development in Las Colinas.

Mr. Simon and his wife, Allison, have resided in University Hills since 1973.
